Add Tap for Directions on Mobile

Several things are important for end users when they visit a mobile site. One of those is the get directions feature.

I use the following code that works across all devices and will even detect the end users current location or prompt them to turn on Location on their mobile device.

The nice thing about this is it’s a URL, so you can add this link to TEXT, IMAGE, CALL TO ACTION or a BUTTON.

The link below is all you need and the text in red is what gets changed.

Google will detect the user’s location and automatically generate directions based on where they are right now.
